New 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 Leaks out

Chrysler has previews the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in this executive design sketch showing a new style based on the recently bare 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with new Street and Racing Technology (SRT).

Labeling as a 2012 standard, the new genre will liable succeed sometime in 2011. Power is likely to come from a strain new 6.4L HEMI V8 engine rated at around the 500hp (373kW) and 500ft-lb (678Nm) of torque. Hopefully, this will be enough to allocate the SRT8-prepped Jeep to cement its title as the world’s greatest SUV now that the pair of M SUVs from BMW have landed.

The new engine will be called the 392 HEMI (in position to its gift in cubic inches) and is expected to first surface in efficient versions of the Dodge Challenger and Charger in 2011.

Besides the energy transplant, the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 will also sport a slight bodykit, a lowered trip height, stiffed suspension, and hefty SRT 5-spar wheels housing uprated brakes.
